ABSTRACT
The Obliteration Defense Platform (aka ODP) acts as the anchor for Obliteration Defense and the Grandhold of Abyss' primary means of defense against hyperweapons.
SECTION 2
SUMMARY
The Obliteration Defense Platform is a large permanent installation deployed around a stellar body. The Obliteration Defense Platform is composed of several different distinct sections.
DYSON FRAME
Megastructure surrounding the host star to supply power to the ODP. The Dyson Frame is lightly protected by turrets. If there is an existing dyson sphere, the ODP can be installed atop that instead.
FUNCTIONS CENTRE
Critical systems of the ODP. Unlike most installations and space vehicles, it has only minor power storage as all power comes from dyson uplink.
INHIBITION ARRAY
Array of supercausal inhibitors organized in a ring around the Functions Centre and System Defense Projector.
GENERAL FOUNDRY
Array of docking and assembly bays built around the Inhibition Array. Capable of assembling and storing up to Dreadnought-size space vehicles.
TURRET COMPLEX
Area above and underneath the ODP dedicated to turrets and reliant subsystems. Concentration of turrets is considerably higher than most static installations and mobile space vehicles.
SYSTEM DEFENSE PROJECTOR
High-power kinetic force generator between the Inhibition Array, above the Functions Centre, and beneath the upper Turret Complex. Counteracts hyperweapons by directing generated kinetic force through a skipgate.
