SECTION 1
ABSTRACT
Grandhold Administation utilizes a diverse series of standardized muntions, primary for Societal Defense. These munitions enable Societal Defense and Internal Security to respond to almost all potential threats.
SECTION 2
PREAMBLE
All munition types are split into two overarching types; guided or unguided. Guided munitions contain directional thrusters which enable a munition to change its trajectory and/or orientation after being launched. Unguided munitions do not, but are inherently cheaper to produce.
A munition type is composed of two property-groups; munition construction and functions. Munition construction has two properties; shell and core. The shell property describes material and thickness, while the core property describes the material of the filling.
The function group contains any additional capabilities of a munition. The function group may vary between one and many.
The property groups are organized in the following manner: SHELL.CORE-FUNCTION.FUNCTION.FUNCTION...
SECTION 3
MUNITION CONSTRUCTION
The construction group is composed of two properties; shell and core. The shell property is defined by material and thickness, while core is simply material.
There are three numbered shell thickness levels, going from 1 (thin) to 3 (thick).
The following codes are used for materials:
SECTION 4
FUNCTION: INCLUSIVE TYPES
The following types of munition may have their properties combined. All munitions listed here have a Densium core.
DESCRIPTION: Contains an antimatter explosive dynamically-shaping charge.
DESCRIPTION: Separates into numerous sharp pieces, highly effective against light or minimal armor.
DESCRIPTION: Small mobility thrusters enable minor change of direction after being launched.
DESCRIPTION: Launches a thin rod at high velocities, intended for deep penetration of armor.
SECTION 5
FUNCTION: EXCLUSIVE TYPES
The following function types are mutually exclusive from all others; they cannot be mixed and matched with any other types.
The only exception is the "Guided" (Gd) inclusive class.
DESCRIPTION: Generic, simple, and inexpensive.
DESCRIPTION: Capable of dispersing contained biosculpting nanites carrying a (usually medicinal) substance. Contains inertial dampeners which protects targets against injury.
SECTION 6
COMMON MUNITION TYPES
The following is a non-exhaustive list of munition-types Administration utilizes in its functions. All types may also have "Guided" (Gd) inclusive class, which is not otherwise listed.
"Inert" (Ps2.Di-No)
Common munition, inexpensive and versatile.
"Piercing" (Ds3.Di-No)
More resistant to armor, enabling better transferrence of energy without deformation.
"Penetrator" (Ds3.Di-Pn)
Launches a Durasteel rod for heavy armor penetration.
"Shrapnel" (Ps1.Ps-Fg)
Fragments for better chance of hit or amplified light/no armor damage.
"Shrapnel-Piercing" (Dn1.Di-Fg)
Fragments for better chance of hit or amplified damage to armored targets.
"Explosive" (Ps1.Py-Ex)
Directs an explosive force towards a target.
"Explosive-Piercing" (Ds3.Di-Ex)
Directs an explosive force towards a target. Intended to burrow into armor before detonating.
"Pacifier" (Ps1.Py-Pn)
Very cheap construction, usually used in Internal Security for civil pacification.
