SECTION 1
ABSTRACT
Paradimensions are separate dimensions which exist in some relative extraspatial 'direction' from the material universe. All currently-known paradimensions are useful in some manner.
SECTION 1
KEY
CAUSAL MOTION LIMIT: The highest velocity a massless object is capable of reaching without circumventing said limit. Also known as the 'speed of light' and 'speed of causality'.
CAUSAL RESISTANCE: The resistance space exhibits on the spatial movement of information. The higher the causal resistance, the lower the causal motion limit.
SECTION 2
SUMMARY
Paradimensions are ordered by their causal motion limits, from least to greatest.
SUBSPACE
- CAUSAL MOTION LIMIT: <1c
- DESCRIPTION: Sub-layer of Ilgospace, and component of Hyperspace-Subspace; technically the same paradimension, but distinct enough to be classified individually. Subspace has a dimensional 'depth'; the 'deeper' you go into Subspace, the higher causal resistance and difficulty of detection becomes. There is no known 'depth' floor.
- USES: Stealth and high-area-volume transport.
ILGOSPACE
- CAUSAL MOTION LIMIT: 1c
- DESCRIPTION: Reality as all sapients know it.
- USES: Everything.
SLIPSPACE
- CAUSAL MOTION LIMIT: 1,300,000c
- DESCRIPTION: Sub-layer of Ilgospace. Objects inside Slipspace are visible but transparent to any objects inside Ilgospace, and vice-versa. Objects in either paradimension phase through one-another on contact. Matter inside Slipspace will slowly tunnel into Ilgospace; the process dissolves said objects. Unlike most other paradimensions, additional energy is needed to exit Slipspace.
- USES: Supercausal transit. (Slipspace ST) (Slipwarp ST)
HYPERSPACE
- CAUSAL MOTION LIMIT: 4,500,000c
- DESCRIPTION: Sub-layer of Ilgospace, and component of Hyperspace-Subspace; technically the same paradimension, but distinct enough to be classified individually. Hyperspace has a dimensional 'depth'; the 'higher' you go in Hyperspace, the lower causal resistance and the easier detection becomes.
- USES: Supercausal transit. (Hyperspace ST) (Hyperwarp ST)
COMMSPACE
- CAUSAL MOTION LIMIT: 15,000,000c
- DESCRIPTION: Parallel dimension to Ilgospace. Cannot contain baryonic matter, but may transmit information.
- USES: Supercausal communications.
FOUNDSPACE
- CAUSAL MOTION LIMIT: 486,000,000c
- DESCRIPTION: Founding layer of Ilgospace and Commspace. It is the fundamental source of quantum physics, and cannot store any information in the typical sense.
- USES: Supercausal transit and computation. (Quantum Flux-Displacement ST) (Fractal Complexity Computation)
ARGOSPACE
- CAUSAL MOTION LIMIT: Variable
- DESCRIPTION: More commonly known as the Black Universe outside the Grandhold. Parallel dimension of unknown relative position to Ilgospace. Argospace is chaotic and poorly understood, but is known to contain hazarous entities, lifeforms, and natural phenomina. Entering and exiting Argospace requires Lanon.
- USES: Supercausal transit. (Argospace ST)
PHISPACE
- CAUSAL MOTION LIMIT: Unknown
- DESCRIPTION: Parallel dimension to Foundspace. It is composed entirely of extremely dense Phi-Matter. Little else is known about Phispace.
- USES: Sensors. (Phispace-Resonance Scanner)
