Background
The UJPA-1 "Unitary" is a legendary strike fighter built in the image of the 1970s fighter generation. Born out of concerns of an increasingly-fragmented lineup of strike craft, it fuses the design philosophies of the Sequel, Saga, and Prelude into a single, incredibly versatile fighter, capable of performing most concievable duties of an aircraft; features include the impressive mobility of the Sequel, the rotary bomb bay of the Saga, and the VTOL launch and landing system of the Prelude. It is also rather large, though not as much as the Saga.
The Unitary's legendary status does not come from its performance; its payload is the lowest of the superpowers' in its time, and it is less maneuverable than Drahosic's and Sinoshin's. Instead, its status comes from its impressive list of features. Simply put, the Unitary is a marvel of engineering for managing to fit so much into a single fighter and doing so effectively.
