APPEARANCE: Human-sized bipedals with pinkish, waxy skin. They have rather large hands, with a total of eight fingers; three of them function as thumbs. Their pointer fingers are disproportionately large.

BACKGROUND
While the Jimbans may look like they belong back in the wild west, they are anything but antiquated. They are a tradition-minded people who still prudently carry the torch of their pre-FTL ancestors, while bravely marching on toward the next tomorrow.
Jimban tradition is deeply entwined with religion, so much so that their government still officiates Turamdar, or 'the way of the oath'. Jimban culture places an emphasis on loyalty and commitment, to the point that most Jimban are willing to be greatly hurt or even die for their friends and community. To not do so is considered naanspir, or moral evil.
In times long gone, such acts would be punished by a live burial. Today, it brings dishonor and sometimes legal trouble.

ABOUT HOMEWORLD
Tijimbo is a swelteringly-hot pseudo-rural world; its large population is distributed evenly across its surface. It is primarily a vast sandy dune, which transitions to a warm steppe toward the poles.
The primary reason behind the planet's temperature is a very high greenhouse gas concentration; it is actually relatively far from its star.
