SECTION 1
BACKGROUND

Instrumo are a deceptively dangerous species from a Phi-Enchanted world. They look thin and weak, yet are anything but. They are strong enough to effortlessly tear the vast majority of sapient species in half (yet one of the weakest species on Gier), and are made even more dangerous because of their precognition. Although Instrumo have been able to 'see' due to cybernetic augmentation for millennia, their precognition is so potent that they don't need sight to begin with.

Their evolution was an especially harsh one. They had to compete with several other sapient species, all of which intelligently sought one-another's extinction to rid themselves of competition. The Instrumo had to claw their way to stand above Gier's circular food chain, and it still took them millennia for technology to overpower evolution.

The necessity of genocide followed the Instrumo to the stars. To them, a fight is a gamble in which everything is put on the line. You either win it all, or die for nothing. Many peoples have paid the ultimate price for entering the enchanted jungle.

ABOUT HOMEWORLD

Gier is a Class-11 world. There are one two of such words in the galaxy. It had two main biomes; an equitorial forest, and an artic tundra around the poles. It is now a multi-layer city-world down to its core that has been integrated into a megastructure around Gier's star, which acts as a reproduction center.

RACIAL TRAITS

  • Species Mindset: No concept of individuality. They think exclusively on the level of their species, and what is best for it. When they fight, it is to protect their species. When they are afraid, it is for the survival of their species. When they die, the only thing they think of is if their species will be better for it.
  • Fear Engine: Fear is different from other species. They never freeze or think poorly when afraid; they become more willful and aggressive. Rarely, this can be detrimental.
  • Ageshackled: Hard limit to lifespan with no possibilities for post-birth extension whatsoever, even with non-multiversal ultratechnologies.
  • Phi-Enchanted, Precognition: Born Phi-Enchanted, and depend on Phi-Matter to survive. They always develop precognition.
  • Death Vision: In their youth, they recieve a single precognitive vision showing how they die. The vision is always accurate. Between 3 days and 2 hours before their death, they will become acutely aware that they are about to die.
  • Psychically Void: Completely unaffected by psychic phenomina and also cannot be detected via psionics, without any exception whatsoever. Can still be affected by physical manifestations of psychic influence.
  • Sapient Averse: Innately fearful and distrustful of sapient species, and views all other sapient species as an inherent threat.
  • Memory Imprint: Very strong generational memory.
  • Visionness: No natural sense of sight.
