Background
The AFPC-2 "Gossiper" a superheavy air-based carrier. As with its predecessor, it is powered by a fission reactor, which enables it virtually unlimited range. Compared to its predecessor, it is much larger; it can carry a half-dozen more fighters for a total of 30. It still has only two vehicle bays, which can either deploy or retrieve a fighter each.
The Gossiper's most noteworthy feature is stealth. It was designed to leverage the technology as much as possible given its size, and does so effectively. This greatly reduces its need for escorts, extending the period it can go between resupplies for its own fighters.
The lesson: stealth is very, very powerful. The FoGM is moving in the right direction.
