Background
The MDJPA-5 "Cluster" is an incremental upgrade over the Cluster, featuring two additional hardpoints, a marginally higher payload capacity, and more importantly advanced technology and superior maneuvering. It is also designed for stealth, though it's not as good as its sibling. It shares almost the exact same form factor as the Cluster, with the exception of its wings being slightly wider.
The limited stealth capabilities holds the Dagger back somewhat; while still effective for its time, it fell noticeably behind its rivals' equivalents. It wasn't enough to deem the Dagger a failure, but it was enough to spur Greater Martil into righting that wrong next generation.
The lesson: stick with the times, don't fall behind.
