A MORE MATURE ETERNITY
TIMELINE: Abb-WhD
The WhD-Grandhold is considerably more adapted to the realities of its universe than most other iterations. The Grandhold experienced a veritable trial by fire when the dual Aefanian and Liondian crises assaulted the galaxy. The Grandhold ended up learning many of the lessons they had from Reset; for example, the usefulness of hyperweapons and the occasional necessity of conscription (for nations incapable of producing good automated militaries). Many of the horrors of the universe no longer scare or disturb the Grandhold as much as they once had, either.
The Grandhold has also deepened its grasp on Phi-Tech; all applications of Phi-Tech (that won't rely on the Warp) have been discovered, and the Grandhold has an approximate 6.67% concentration of Phi-Gen1 across their whole society. For the Grandhold military, this has changed Phi-Tech forces from almost exclusively special operations to higher-grade operations; equipment still must be used selectively, but not sparingly. The Grandhold has an effective techlevel of 3.6x.
The Grandhold has also fully phased out boots-on-the-ground sapient operators from its military, utilizing either remote control or better autonomous units. The Grandio project, which is currently being rolled out across Societal Defense, enables sapients to fight on the frontlines without risking death thanks to consciousness transferrence.
FAITH ENGINE
TIMELINE: Abb-WhD
The Faith Engine is a type of supercomputer loaded with an Archotech (conscious super-AI) bound to a soul. Faith Engines possess the ability to manipulate the Warp through sheer force of synthetic thought. Early non-Phi models are corruptable by Chaos, while later ones will be designed with the mindset necessary to avoid being tainted.
Faith Engines can also be used as area-denial weapons against Orcs; killing any nearby Orcs.

THE PHISTORM
TIMELINE: Abb-WhD
Centered around the dimensional boundary connecting Lacteal and the Materium, the Phistorm is a chaotic place where Phispace and the Warp co-exist. The Phistorm is composed of two main zones; one where both laws of physics apply, and one where one set of laws of physics are more dominant.
The first zone is known as the Contrasting Zone. It has a diameter of 500ly. Both sets of laws of physics have roughly equal precedence, and unique phenomina from both universes may occur in the area.
- Souls are stable and don't form or decay
- Both universes' FTL methods work
- Psyker powers works
- Warp entities have influence
- RPC-psionics works
- Phi-Breach weapons can be used to full effect
The second zone is known as the Diffusion Zone. It has a diameter of 1000ly. One universe's laws of physics have mostly overridden the other, with a few exceptions.
- Souls are stable and don't form or decay
- Both universes' FTL methods work
This fact has the following consequences:
- Attempting to use a PBB in the 40k Diffusion Zone results in a temporary Warp Storm. The Warp Storm is effectively cauterized shut by residual leaking Phi-Matter.
- The RPC Diffusion Zone cannot be explored. It begins to contain so much Phi-Matter that it stops incinerating Warp essence, and begins annihilating regular matter, like the surface of a Phi-Star.
- Psyker powers stop working in the RPC Diffusion Zone. RPC psionics stops working in the 40k Diffusion Zone. Phionics is an exception because of the physical aspect of infusing stuff to control it.
- The Phistorm is centered close to the Well of Eternity.
PHI-MATTER & THE WARP
TIMELINE: Abb-WhD
Phi-Matter is the antithesis of the Warp. When Phi-Matter and Warp essence encounter, the two materials (usually) harmlessly annihlate and stop existing. This creates a boundary of sorts between the laws of physics of Lacteal and the Materium, except in the Phistorm.
This fact has the following consequences:
- The Warp and Phispace are (mostly) contained in their own universes. They cannot spread across the entirety of one-another's universes.
- Where Phispace is dominant, souls are slowly destroyed.
- Where the Warp is dominant, souls are slowly regenerated and/or formed.
- Phi-Matter weapons damage and can destroy souls; it is possible to kill an immortal.
- Phi-Enchanted individuals cannot form souls, but they have to resupply more regularly.
- Phi-Infusion materials and Phi-based shields completely block all forms of Warp intrusion.
SOUL INCINERATION
TIMELINE: Abb-WhD
Phi-Matter, due to its innate attribute of destroying Warp essence, also destroys souls on contact. For example, Phi-Breach Bombs can instantly destroy all but the most powerful and resilient of Warp entities, infantry Phi-Matter weapons can permamently kill others in a way which prevents resurrection, and Phi-Infusion/Enchantment facilities can relatively cheaply destroy souls.
The Grandhold has the ability to build dedicated soul incineration chambers which can reclaim any used Phi-Matter not annihlated.

Dieties.
KERNEL, THE AGRICULTURE BARON
TIMELINE: Abb-WhD
"Corn for the Corn God... Popcorn for the Movie Theatre... Tortillas for the Taco Truck..."
-Unenthusiastic Kernate Warcry
Kernel, also called the "Agriculture Baron," the "Corn God," the "Prince of Tacos," the "Changer of Recipes," and "Popcorn Lord" among many other titles is a powerful Warp entity and self-proclaimed fifth Chaos God. Kernel's domain is that of harvest, fertility, life, growth (of character), loyalty, determination, hope, and humor. Kernel also claims to have the domain of corn, popcorn, tortillas, cereal, and anything that uses corn as a main ingredient; he does not actually have domain over corn and corn products.
Kernel is not a naturally-occuring warp entity; he is a synthetic entity created by the Grandhold of Abyss with the purpose of counteracting the influence of the Chaos Gods on the UCP. Kernel is maintained by a series of Faith Engines on the Lacteal end of the Phistorm, which protect him from being corrupted by the beliefs of the Materium and thus the risk of going rogue. While a self-proclaimed fifth Chaos God, Kernel is in fact a purely helpful diety who is wholly loyal to the Grandhold of Abyss.
Kernel is fully aware of the circumstances of his existence, and is therefore also aware that is entire persona is a satire. Kernel has a good sense of humor and finds the situation around his existence funny, and encourages his devotees to participate in the joke. Kernel does not influence the mind, body, or spirit of his devotees.
Kernel holds a claim over all souls belonging to sapients from Lacteal, which he calls his 'invitees to the great party' (though in truth it is to protect them from the Chaos Gods and also enable easy resurrection). Individuals resurrected by Kernel become bound to their souls, however; they will die for real if their souls are destroyed, so they must stay in the Materium or Lacteal-Phistorm to avoid death
NOTE: Kernel has not shown up as of yet. He will be created at a later date.

BOUNTY BROKERS & CHAOS BALKANIZED
TIMELINE: Abb-WhD
"We are the Bounty Brokers. And we are Chaos Balkanized. Neither of us know what's going on..."
-Unenthusiastic Kernate Warcry
Kernel has two legions of Space Marines, each coming from different sources. Both of the Kernel legions come from a mix of different legions, rather than any particular one. Both legions also recieve advanced tactical training, bringing them up to Lacteal standards in skill.
The Bounty Brokers are a legion of rogue Space Marines who have betrayed the Imperium, "fallen" to Kernel's influence. They are uninfluenced in mind, body, and spirit.
The Chaos Balkanized are a legion of former Chaos Marines who have converted to Kernel. They experience varying degrees of influence, though it is mostly to reverse the effects of Chaos influence.
CHILDREN AGAINST ETERNITY (AKA INFANTRY GROUP 5F1C4-8AB95-1A4A4)
TIMELINE: Abb-WhD
"We are the Bounty Brokers. And we are Chaos Balkanized. Neither of us know what's going on..."
-Unenthusiastic Kernate Warcry
The Children against Eternity are a Slaneesh-aligned warband of former Societal Defense operatives. They fell to Slaneesh after falling out of contact with the Grandhold for a considerable period of time and being (temporarily) possessed by daemons shortly after forming souls.
The warband retains their advanced equipment and more importantly their assistant combat AIs, which preserve their tactical effectiveness even while the sapient operators fall deeper and deeper into wasteful excess.
Although the infantry group had been deployed with a number of Phi-tech soldiers, none of them fell to Chaos influence due to the Starsteel armor protecting against said influence; they were killed and their suits utterly destroyed. The strongest of their force are thusly composed of ZENITHs and GRANDOPs.
