Svat is both perceptive and ambitious. He has a very descriptive way of writing; he can near-perfectly transcribe what he sees, smells, feels, and hears onto paper at a speed sufficient to keep up with most things - and when he can't, his memory is plenty good enough to compensate.
Svat isn't the bravest of men. When faced with the option of fight or flight, he is the kind to freeze.
